HMA Pro VPN Original Annual License for Windows, Mac, Android and iOS

Fast Email Delivery, Official Guarantee and Free Technical Support

HMA Pro VPN encrypts the connection and hides the IP address with a license valid for unlimited devices, available with a duration of 1, 2 or 3 years. It is the choice of families and anyone with many devices to protect, because a single license covers computers, smartphones and tablets with no activations to count. The license is delivered by email with the activation code.

Why choose HMA Pro VPN

In a home the connected devices are not four: they are two laptops, three phones, a tablet, the television and the console. With a VPN that counts devices you end up unplugging one to plug in another, or leaving outside the protection exactly the devices nobody ever updates.

HMA Pro VPN removes the counting: one license, unlimited devices, and it is installed on everything in the house without having to think about it. The durations are one, two or three years, and the longer the duration the lower the yearly cost. Anyone with one or two devices wanting to spend the least will find Avast SecureLine in the catalogue, which is also sold in a single-device version.

What HMA Pro VPN is and what it is for

HMA Pro VPN routes the device traffic through a server on the HMA network, encrypting it: whoever runs the local network, from the hotel to the bar, sees only unreadable data, and the visited sites record the server's IP address. The applications exist for Windows, macOS, Android and iOS, and a single license covers them all with no limit on the number.

The server network covers a large number of countries, so you can choose where to exit from; there is the function that cuts the connection if the tunnel closes, so as not to let traffic pass in the clear. It is worth remembering that a VPN protects the stretch between the device and the server: it does not replace an antivirus and does not stop a site recognising you if you log in with your credentials.

How to choose the server country, and how much it matters

• The general rule: as close as possible
Every piece of data makes a round trip to the server. A server in your own country adds a few thousandths of a second, one in Australia is felt at once on anything interactive.
• When a different country is genuinely needed
To see a catalogue that changes from nation to nation, to open a public service of your own country while abroad, or to compare a price that varies with where you come from.
• The opposite case: travelling, choose home
Many banking and government services behave badly if the request arrives from another continent. Connecting to a server at home solves it, and it is no trick: it is the commonest use.
• Video calls want a nearby server
Voice and video tolerate little delay. If during a meeting the voice arrives in jerks, the first thing to try is changing server, not closing the VPN.
• Downloading big files is another matter
For a long download what counts is bandwidth, not delay: a distant but lightly loaded server can do better than a close and crowded one.
• What happens to search results
Search engines and shops show language, currency and offers according to the server's country. It is useful to know before being surprised by prices in another currency.
• The country is not a promise of legality
Changing server does not make permitted what is not, and does not get round the terms of a service you signed up to. It moves the technical origin, not the rules.
• Try two or three servers before judging
Within the same country performance changes a good deal depending on load. A thirty second test on a second server saves you from blaming the program.
